Recording requirements for the Clerk of the Court
General Filing Information
Within 30 days of forming your business with the Louisiana Secretary of State, you are required to register your business in the Louisiana parish where your registered agent office is located. Our office is conveniently located in Lafayette Louisiana which is in Lafayette parish. Our clients should have their formation documents recorded by the Lafayette parish Clerk of the Court.
You will need a copy of the certificate of incorporation that was issued by the LA Secretary of State, and certified copy of the articles and initial report.
